FLA Smokeout Sausage

Never thought about it on a smoker (or any cooking appliance) but it makes incredible sense.  I personally experienced two separate overtemp failures on lab equipment.  One was in a small muffle furnace - caused two Pyrex dishes to melt and flow away.  It can get exciting when a temp controller fails the wrong way and you get run away heating.
I like animals, they taste good!
