Got a package in the mail today.  


Squirtthecat ordered a batch of MEIS breading (http://www.miesproducts.com/breading.htm) and was kind enough to send some off to me.  The box also had some Soileau's seasoning in it. I just stuck my finger in it and tried a little bit of it and it's goooood.   ;D  Thanks for the goodies Squirt! Enjoy your vacation.  Cant wait to try em out.

More free swag came in today!!!  I'm starting to like this!  A friend of mine that I have know for several years just opened up a restaurant and makes his own BBQ sauce.  They are getting ready to do a trial run of this sauce and are just waiting for the order of 1000 bottles to come in.  I asked him for a sample and told him about the Florida Smoke Out so he brought me a jar of their mild sauce.  I think he is going to bring some of the hot stuff by next week... Stuff tastes pretty good, although it was only the finger test.  It has a Hawaiian taste to it.  Some sweet then heat.

Another day at work and more swag arrives!


GusRobin saw my post on the Big Bob Gibson White BBQ Sauce and offered to send me some so I could do a side by side comparison with the sauce I made from Gibson's book and bottle of the white sauce.  Thanks Gus.  I should get some FL swag out to ya soon!
