Hey . . . this is my area (the pulmonary hypertension--not the Viagra).  If you've ever wondered why some men who take Viagra die from cardiac arrest, it's because their blood pressure drops so much their heart tries to overcompensate by trying too hard, especially during the "stress" of sex (but what a way to go . . .).  If the heart was weak to begin with for some reason (prior heart attack, congestive heart failure, etc), they end up in a cardiac arrest.  However, the blood pressure-lowering effect of Viagra (which also accounts directly for its mechanism of action in ED) is being tried in hypertension diseases like the one covered in the MS-NBC report.
