I just pulled my new smoker out of the box and neither the smoke element or the bisquette advance button work. i had the smoke generator plugged in for a 1/2 hour...the power indicator light and on/off switch work. I checked the fuse and it was fine. Am i missing something simple? or do i need to open this thing up?

Due yu have the OBS or digital? On the OBS there is a power light (round) and a on off switch for the generatorfor. Do both lights work?

welcome to the forum,

you might have a couple loose connections to the advance and puck burner inside the box of the smoke generator.

Remove ONLY the screws around the outside bottom of the  smoke generator ... separate the generator carefully and check the connections to the advance and burner, if all connections are good reassemble and try again

Thanks for the quick replies! I have the OBS. I ended up removing the screws and simply connecting a wire from the power switch to it's proper terminal. easy! after seasoning I smoked some salmon last night for dinner. I LOVE this thing!!! Thanks again folks!
