It's just like when you tell us about making sausage, grinder plates/casings/fermenting/drying/ smoking..... ??? a foreign language to me anyway.....but I always learn something from it!

Just go through it all slowly step by step, and you will be good to go ;)

Some tips:
Make sure you change your username/password to your router, do not leave the default name/password
Use wpa if it is available, and use a strong password/phrase longer the better http://www.kurtm.net/wpa-pskgen
Make sure you write all the new passwords and stuff down for future reference
Drink a beer  :D
