No better ideas here --- I love the magnetic bars, as well as the "rail" thingies for common tools, but wifie said NO to both.
I just do the work. Y'all know who's in charge.

I'm thinking I might be able to get away with it on one side of the butcher block table.

Sorry I'm not a better photographer but it's finally functional (99% done - still have to frame in microwave and fix a couple of punch list items) and making its internet debut...
