Good morning, joined recently after I bought a DBS at a yard sale cheap enough that I thought would not work. Plugged it in and could not get it past 165 degrees, read on here how to trouble shoot, did it,  and walla, works great did the Blueberry Bourbon pulled pork this weekend for a party, its all gone before I could try it, nice forum happy to be here. anyone else from NM or area?

Welcome Stiffyman.  Glad you had success with your garage sale find.

Welcome to the forum - nice you got the smoker cheap and then had a hit with your first smoke!

Hi stiffyman and welcome to the forum.  Sounds like you lucked out at the yard sale.  :)

Where there's smoke, there's food.

I sure did, I have been useing a MES (electric smoker) for the past 3 years, but seems like every 10 months I am taking it apart because one of the connections to the element burns out and I have to put on a new connection, I admit I do like it but think the DBS will end up working better I am excited.
