Brisket Vault goes to Iowa

Brisket has been a GREAT buy here in Texas this Summer.

USDA Choice Briskets ranging in price from $1.29lb to $1.78.

Bought a cple basket loads to start.





After telling a cple of Forum members that will be in Iowa, had to make a re-turn trip to

gather more to bring. Freezer is full.

If anyone that is gonna be at Iowa Smoke Out wants a GREAT deal

No pun intended here but HOLY COW!  That is an awesome price and an awesome load of briskets Sonny.

We are rolling out Thursday.  Laying over in Springfield IL with Hal4UK and his gorgeous wife and then I am heading up to Iowa Friday morning with STC with a MAK 1 Star in the back of the truck along with a load of goodies.  Hal will follow along behind us in a few hours.  Jan will stay behind in Springfield and have a girl's weekend with Hal and Pat's wives.

This is going to be fun!

I slip over the border to Texas every chance I get to avoid the huge excise tax on briskets imported to Louisiana ::) They think that is filet around here.........
