I'm a newbie with my sixth smoke scheduled to be a prime rib roast tomorrow. I would consider my first five efforts successful, but I can't figure out why some of the smoke pucks slide off to the side before they advance to the burner. Any tips to keep'em on track?

Can you shoot us a picture of your slide? sounds like they might be catching on the lip of the heating element and falling off. Might be as easy of a fix as just bending the element down or up a little

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

Just looked at my slide. It looks exactly as it's called. The sides go from the very top to the bottom. Can't imagine how they would fall off the side.

That's what I was thinking Mike the only thing I could come up with is there is a lip between the slide and the heating element that they is catching on.
