I think it looks fine. Just a little too much heat near the edges. You can see where some of the fat melted out. I bet no one new the difference. I would have given it a try I know that. You might try different grinding plates for different types of sausage. Do you know what sized plate he used??

There's no experience like 'experience.'

Having ruined a beautiful ten-pound load of fresh brats by having my water temp get too high (185-190?!) in the poacher (end result= dry, crumbly links & a pool of greasy water), let's just say I'm a bit more diligent about keeping the eye on the temp gauge and not get occupied with other stuff.  ;)

I was just reading this comment over again from Kirby and I hate to say it, but just like in college, they really did need to get drunk to enjoy ...... I am sure you can figure that punch line out!!!!
