I forgot how dangerous Restaurant Depot can be

Hi all,

Went to Restaurant Depot to see if they had any of those big wings in for Sunday.  They had supply issue a while ago and I haven't been there in a while because of that.

Oh the danger!!!!  Manged to get out of there with only a extra package of butts.  I feel the need, the need for pork!!!



Added some shakers to make the seasoning of the various smoking easier. 

Amy and I have been considering a standup freezer for the garage.  Since we don't get to much in the way of deep freezes here it should be fine out there.  After seeing all the sales there it is getting closer.

This post is timely. The one in Nashville opened this week and I plan on going there tomorrow.

I made that leap as well.   I went with a standup freezer putting footprint at a premium.   If I had to do it over again I would go for a chest type.   While it may not be as accessible as a standup it will hold more goodies.

Just my 2cents.

I have the same problem at RD.   I carry in a smallish cooler bag to restrict what I can grab and carry out.

Chests are nice - IF you can keep it from becoming a table/workbench/storage area..

They make some pretty big uprights.

I went to our RD a last weekend - they had elephant... I meant pork shoulders on sale for 1.39lb.

I purchased several!
