Well I finally got to use my smoker with both 500 watt elements working. But I never reprogrammed. But from what I see It must make a big difference. The smoker heats up to quick for the Auber to keep up. Throws temps and control all off. So I pulled the other single PID I have out thinking my first one was messed up. But the second wasn't any better. So Next time I get some meat to smoke guess its time to auto tune.

No need to wait for more meat to smoke.  Wrap a couple of bricks in foil, set them on the racks and then run the auto-tune.  The PID needs to learn what kind of heater it is controlling for it to work properly.

ok well I seen people say before you needed a load. Now I usually run it with a brick in it. But i think I can remove it now. So two red bricks will do it huh?

Well, I used gray landscaping bricks when I did mine but I don't think it matters.   :)
