Hi, Id like to thank all that post here find it real helpful and humorous too. I got a new Bradley 4 rack digital controls do i need a external pid? and if i do whats the benefits to it mine is not the old version with the slide to control heat thanks and keep on smoking

Welcome to the forum. As for PID I don't have one but those that do really like them so It might be worth the $$$$$ to ya'

WELCOME!!! I have the OBS (BTI1S1) so others will have to answer your question. I just know that I can't imagine a long smoke (butt or brisket) without my PID.

PID is good for tight temp control. Guess you don't really need but it's a nice addition to the Bradley.
