Uncle Jimmy owned the first Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in Paducah KY.  Back then it wasn't called KFC.  It was Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Sorry Hal, you weren't around to field the question so I took the liberty to answer for ya.  Hope you don't mind. :)

Yup... and  before that, it was originally called "The Chicken Villa"!  It was one of the first franchises (I think it might have been the first).  Later, the name changed to Kentucky Fried Chicken, and he put up a spanky new sign with a rotating chicken bucket on top.

Slowpoke---Yeah... Everything there tasted better.  The baked beans were fantastic; full of chopped pulled pork.  Try to find the pork in there these days.  They also had delicious soft rolls (instead of those big DRY biscuits they have now).  Jimmy and the colonel wouldn't even recognize what they serve today.

It gets worse, now up here we had original, extra crispy and spicy. Now they only have original and extra crispy spicy. So we don't care for the extra crispy spicy cause I pay dearly for it so we get just original. The other day I brought home dinner having ordered all original and when I got home it was half spicy. I can't figure these people that work in the fast food shops like McDonald's. These kids don't listen to your order  and they don't read the order board. 80% of the time they get the order wrong. I don't even drive away without checking every item in the bag anymore.
Oops, just went of on a rant there but I am back now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UNCLE JIMMY AND THE COLONEL. I don't know if I had to yell but it is a long way up there. Lol
