UPS delivered my new stuffer this past weekend !!  ;D  ;D   ;D

No more KitchenAide stuffing ....

WOW ... what a difference !!!

I did a couple test 1lb batched of hot dogs over the weekend ... what a breeze with this thing. Although my wife was in that last picture, she just figured out that I can do this by myself now ... Happy lady !!!

Yes Sir!  You is on your way now.  My Grizzly has stuffed pounds and pounds of sausage and sticks and she is still good as new.  Only thing is don't crank her past bottom as you will strip the gears.  I see that you have red on the end of the screw.  Did it come that way or did you paint it?  Looks it is painted at about the bottom for warning.

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.

Congrats on the new stuffer, I wonder over the years how many grinder/stuffers or like your Kitchenaide have fell by the wayside for a stuffer. I know that's how I got my stuffer is by trashing a grinder that ground many thousands of pounds of venison. I felt horrible as it held tons of memories, in fact I felt so bad I haven't let the wife throw it in the trash yet !!! Enjoy the stuffer it sure makes life easier.

That red nail polish is the first thing I did after I opened the box .... cranked it to the botton while it was empty and felt the resistance then added the nail polish. I remember reading a post on here somewhere ... someone else had done that to protect the plastic gears ... great idea!

I have been reading most of the sausage making postings from old to new ... started at page 82 and working my way to page one. With about 20 "topics" per page that makes about 1600+ topics. What a great way to learn ... also having a great time reading the sausage book by "Kutas".

This is great new hobby (as if I really needed a new one ... ::) ).

I've discovered that lil' grizzly stuffer is one of the best bargains out there as far as sausage-making equipment goes.
Makes the small jobs sooooo much easier. easy to set-up; take down & clean.

I used butcher's red tape to indicate the 'thread end' on the shaft.
