After the 2hr smoke would it hurt to move the nuggets into the oven at about 160-170 until they dry? Trying to get as many batches done in the most efficent way...thanx!

Sailor

Any thing that you smoke can be moved to the oven after applying the smoke.  In the case of jerky or nuggets you are only wanting to take the moisture out and personally I would not want to exceed 160 degrees as you don't want to cook them.  You are only wanting to take the moisture out.  You may have to crack the oven door open a bit to get the desired temp.

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.

Thanx for the info, I appreciate it!

As Sailor has pointed out it will work fine.  Many times after the smoking period I move my jerky or nuggets to my dehydrator to finish.

If you move to the oven make sure you check the temp on the oven with a separate oven thermometer.  A lot of ovens don't get that low of temps with out the door cracked open a bit.
