Help needed with Auber Dual Probe

Mystery solved.  Obsolete once you buy it.  Not to concerned, my high temp sensors have tripped a couple of times on a high preheat.

I hope this isnt a thread highjack, i apologize if it is....but this topic has me wondering....i bought a DBS and am gathering what people are saying it is better to get the OBS and the PID....would you guys agree?
And is the PID just plug in and sit beside the smoker?

I have an OBS so my answer is based upon that:
The pid plugs into the wall, and then connects to the cabinet and smoke generator.
I bought an OBS and PID and am happy with it. I did by a used 6 rack cabinet since I felt I needed the extra room for sausage. So I think I have the best of both worlds.
