Hello from Scotland

Hi folks, tried to register on this site and was told that the username and email were already in use and that rung a bell. I had registered 4 1/2 years ago when my friend bought his OBS to get some info for him as his Internet was very poor at the time although then I hadn't introduced myself.
Said friend called me the other evening to ask if I could put his OBS on eBay due to only being used twice in all that time....hang on a minute...I'll take that please if you don't mind.
Anyway, gets picked up today and after a good clean down will be coming out of retirement. Going to start with cold smoking cheese for the moment to see how I get on. Outside temp just now is about 12C. Will be smoking in the garage with a length of duct between my SG and box. I don't have any mods at all so will just have to wing it as we say.

I'll no doubt be back on here soon

Good luck from Texas. There are some very knowledgeable members here who will help you with anything you might need to know. I find searching the forums to be very helpful along with some well documented recipes.
