This is from my earlier post about the cleaner not working.
I followed Tenpoint.5 s instructions and found the rod placement was jamming the hook.

When looking at the puck route from rear you can see the rod and removal tip. The rod had flipped to the left of a raised area. Using the vice grip I could move it to right and everything works. Still need superglue for handle.
It has happened one more time and I added one more tool to the smoker kit.
