Missed it. that sucks was going to buy 4 for gifts. Well next year I will also check out this forum for deals instead of only looking on slickdeals for black Friday & cyber Monday deals. Im wondering how these mavericks compare to the thermapens. Im assuming many bought them at that price.

I've never had a thermapen but so far I really like the Maverick PT-100. It is plenty fast and has a large back-lit display that is easy to read. I've only had mine a few weeks but it looks and feels like it's built to last. And it has a handy temp guide printed right on it just in case you forget, like I sometimes do.
