BBQ Fest and Battle of the Bands

In September there will be a BBQ Fest and Battle of the Bands in my area (Western Iowa).  September 19-20, 2014 are the dates, Crawford County Fairgrounds, Denison, Iowa, is the place.  Not sure on schedule of events at this time...it's the first time it has been held.  KCBS has their logo on it, so I'm assuming there will be a contest.

I plan to attend for a while, but as I've found with the Smokeouts, there is no guarantee here in my life.

That is a KCBS event. To check for KCBS sanction events go to the below site, then use the filter (search), and you can search by date, state, name of the event etc. It you use the filer IA, it will bring up all scheduled contest in Iowa.

Sounds like fun but we already have plans to be in Paducah that weekend for the BBQ on the River event.
