E error on new digital smoker

My brand new Bradley immediately threw an "E" error when I switched it on.

I went to http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?488-Answers-To-Bradley-Smoker-FAQ-s&p=839#post839

and  opened up the can as suggested.  What I found was there was a big blob of rubbery silicone glue blocking the drive arm from contacting the micro switch.  Once removed it worked fine.  Easy fix.  Just a heads up if somone else encounters the problem.  Certainly easier than packing it up and dragging it back to the store

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm glad the site help you solved your problem. You may want to contact Bradley any way, so that they are aware you had a problem. Also to alert them, if yours arrived liked that, others could have the same problem.
