can i smoke a turkey for few hours then finish in oven?

One question on this thread. Did you use a pan when you transferred the turkey from the smoker to the oven or did you use the pan while you smoked it as well?

Welcome to the forum.

This is an old post and you should have started a new one to ensure members see your post.

If you are applying the smoke using the Bradley, it is preferable to place the turkey directly on the rack. You can place a pan on the rack position below the turkey to save some cleanup time. When you move it to the kitchen oven, use a roasting pan with a rack for best roasting.

One word of caution. If you are cooking the turkey in the smoker for any length of time, be careful when you move it from the smoker to the pan. The cavity can fill with juices, and if you tilt the turkey those hot juices will spell on your deck and feet.
