10-4 Habs.

Reading all of these posts about non-stick and the requisite cleaning thereafter, it seems like we're beginning to spin our wheels here a little bit.

It looks like there are three similar options:

1. Use a food-grade non-stick silicone spray that should facilitate cleaning and less sticking, although nobody on this particular thread has experience with it - we're looking to Habs after he receives his from SausageMaker for an update.

2. Use non-stick spray like Pam and then soak, soak, soak in some kind of very hot detergent/degreaser bath until all the little nasty bits are loosened up.

3. Wipe rack with oiled rag before cooking and also soak, soak, soak.

I guess this subject isn't quite as exciting as I'd hoped.

I apply olive oil to the racks by hand before putting the food on them - just a bit in a bowl, dip my fingers in and smear it on the racks.  Works pretty good.

I haven't really began to care too much about residue on the V-rack, hot soapy water has prevented too much stuff from staying put.
