Are you all  readly for this storm season?

Tomarrow we should be finished with our supplies. We will have enough for 4-5 weeks for the three of us and our 4 dogs. We set it all up as a rotating supply that will use all year long; replacing what we use every week.  Also we wired in our generator this week. If I had not spent so much on that MG Midget of mine I would have changed out our 250 gal Propane tank to a 1000 gal. tank this year.

I still have to find larger water tight bags, so that if we do have a storm surge and have to leave, and if the house is still here then we will have dry clothing, food, and water when we return.

Once I've finished I will take photos and show you what I've got done. BTW I don't know if you all saw my post about that solar oven I use, but it is just great. Once you use one you will find it's tough to fire up your house oven. Did dried beans and rice in it Thursday.

Good Luck to all this year.

I'm ready Olds.  Kinda stay that way.  I noticed that you guys got lucky and got some rain today.  Still like a desert here.  Will probably get back down to Spring Hill mid to late June.  Wife's sister has her 50th birthday coming up.

Ya, it was a slow rain all of Friday night, then bang it came down Saturday. A road two streets behind me flooded.

I am having to run the sprinklers every day.  Even with the sprinklers the grass is growing very slow.  Cut it about once every week and a half.  We need a couple of weak slow moving tropical storms to come this way.

We can only water here one day per week... my day is Sat.  Fines are now up to 750.00 if I remember correctly. Then it goes up.

I got everything in order here in cajun land. Olds I got a question   ???...........How in the world are you going to afford to fill a 1000 gal butane tank, and if so you will have to put a gard on it at the price of butane or to keep the dope heads away from siphining off your fuel for cooking dope  ???
There is a place for all of Gods animals right next to the mashed potatos and gravy

That cost only bites once.  After that you only pay for what you have to replace.

Fair question. The current tank is buried in the front yard. The next one will also be buried. If someone wants to steal the gas they will have a hard time doing it un-noticed.

While I'm not a Chez with his m-guns.... I now have enough fired power to make taking anything away not an easy thing to do. I have one more piece I wish to purchase, and that is a rifled 12G. that will handle 3 plus inch shells. Don't really need it with what I have now, but the idea of having one with a 30" barrel is interesting. If needed the idea of reaching out to a 100 yards with a slug and having only to touch that person one time has merit.

The only thing that worries me is storm surge. I cannot get around it or protect anything from it. This house is hardened. I've spent in the past few years close to 50K to hardened it.
