I tried a product called "Dawn Power Dissolver" on my bottom pan, water bowl, drip pan and grates.  It kind of foams when you spray in on, let it sit and work for a while and rinse real good. It did a great job of cleaning.  Things look like new - even took care of the corner joints on the racks I used to spend time brushing.
Question?
Is there any cleaning involved with the heating element?  I have tried to wipe down the heat element deflector after use - though I admit it has just been a wipe or two with a soapy cloth I use on the  door opening and gasket - but it is turning a bit grungy/corroded.  Any thoughts or comments on the heat element deflector?  I dont want to get very agressive with it until i know something about the element itself.

   Hey WKC,
I kind of have the same question, did you ever get an answer to yours? The first time I used my BS I had the drip pan upside down( I was looking at the pictures instead of reading the directions, must be a guy thing :D )
You mentioned a set screw on the smoke generator? Do you have any advice on that?
I have been talking to Bradley as to being a dealer and I think that I can generate enough business here to be able to be able to do something online that would benefit everyone!
I am planning on contacting chez bubba and getting their advice and input since he has been there and I want to make sure I can help the BS community.
I got a warning message that this subject was old , but I am going to send it and see what happens ???

i have had two heating elements...

the first one was glass... the second one is metal...

both look pretty stout... i have not and most likely will not clean my heat element...

but having both in my hands before i would not think twice about washing them down...

perhaps i can get my wench to do it for me... on a standard outlet of course... a gfi would not give me the desired result...

you gotta eat...

Chez would be a great place to ask about the business.  I have read here before about people considering it. Seems like it would be hard to do with amozon, ebay, bass pro, cabelas etc all in full swing.  :-\

I never did get an answer on the deflector. At this point mine looks like an asphalt road with some possoms and coons stuck to it.  Unfortunately I dont care anymore and the thing works fine.  Maybe better since it is not reflecting straight up the back of the tower as well anymore.  The back is still hotter but I am not as engaged about Bradley mysteries as i had been a year ago.   ;)

Just using it as often as I can.  Cleaning what makes sense and is easy to clean ... the rest looks like a good old smoker is supposed to look  8)

I just chuck the bottom pan, water bowl, vee-pan and used grates into the dishwasher and everything comes out looking like new.  I also give the heating element and bottom of the box a quick vacuum to pick up anything loose and give the puck area of the generator a quick vacuum and that's it.
