I know there are a few other dog lovers and owners on here so I thought some of you might want to try this out.  My dog loves Frosty Paws (dog ice cream), it is his favorite treat.  But in my area they keep getting more and more expensive. A box of 4 is almost $4.00 now. So I thought I would do a little looking around and I found a recipe for homemade versions and my dog loves them.

They are very easy to make...

Ingredients:

32oz. Vanilla Yogurt
1 Banana
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons peanut butter

Blend all the ingredients together then pour into 3 oz paper cups and freeze.  I use the bathroom Dixie cups.  Before I give it to my dog I rip off the cup and put it in a bowl. I tried to give it to him in the cup once and half the cup was gone when he finished..lol

I can get anywhere from 16-20 of these for the price of 4 with this recipe and I know exactly what my dog is eating.

I must be the lucky one.  My lab goes for plain old ice cubes like they are the finest eats in town.  The sound of the old blender entering margaritaville sends him into spasms.

Winemakers my dog Sir Winston must be from the same area :D Nothing better than ice cubes. Goes crazy when I go to the ice machine in the garage to fill up the ice bucket for adult beverages at night.
The Frosty Paws sounds good begolf. I'm going to try them. Thanks for sharing

Hey Begolf, something tells me you have a winner here!

I'm not sure, but I think she likes it.   ;D

Luca Bella, my three year old chocolate lab didn't even seem to care that they weren't exactly frosty, frosty paws yet.  I was just pouring the mixture into the cups and she was already going after the spatula that I had just laid down on the counter. ;D

I even managed to find 3 oz dixie cups featuring dogs in silly poses.  :D

thanks for the recipe.  So easy too.

Thanks for the recipe, my six boys will love them. A half gallon, oops 56 oz. goes in one sitting, they love there vanilla or any other flaver given them. They're not picky. :D  It's great to see all the lab lovers on board. :) :P

I think what i am going to do is put a puppy chew bone in the ones i make so kiki has something extra to chew on.

my wife is trying to get me to bat for the laborador cycle:

Currently the flock consists (or will consist) of, a two year old yellow and a new (to us) black is arriving next weekend (a service dog that is retiring).

Mama says we should fetch up a chocolate to bat the entire cycle, and I must admit, the photo of that beautiful chocolate is a powerful argument.

And besides being beautiful, Luca Bella also has figured out the proper technique for tending the smoker   ;D

Guess she's been watching her dad closer than I had thought.  :D

Tiny Tim

Need to get her to prop her head up, or she's gonna burn the carpet that way.

Oh yeah, is the whiskey bottle behind her, or just out of frame for the pic? :D
