You made a good first attempt.  Suggest you buy a Maverick dual probe.  Better box and meat readings IMHO.  My door gauge is off anywhere from 15 to 40 degrees.

Agree 100% with Wildcat.  Get the Maverick ET-73.  My DBS sometimes has a swing of 40 degrees up and down difference between what the DBS temp says and what the Maverick is reading.  The Maverick is much more accurate.  Don't get down on yourself or the Bradley over the first attempt.  It's a learning experience for me everytime I use my DBS.

A bad day smoking is still better than a good day at work.
