My Bradley Smoker just arrived @ Cabelas after a month wait...very popular item! I have deer backstraps, sea bass, flounder and turkey and cheese all waiting to be smoked. I was reading thru the submissions, you have all been very helpful, I'm sure I'll be needing much more. greatful for the forum.....Happy Smoking

Ya think if next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non", they would mind?

Hey! I just figured out your handle. What kind of dog do you own?

We have a Drathaar coming in April.

Brian,

Just a little hint on the Cheese, Cheese seems to absorbe the smoke very fast and it dosen't take long to smoke it! My first time I cut into 1"X 2" chunks and only smoked for an hour and thought it was too smokey, I think 45 minutes would have been a plenty??? Chez Bubba will probably have a good answer for this.  He's been very helpful and probably knows more than most that have been on the forum!!

Bubba, you might want to check the bloodlines out very good before you purchase your new Drathaar puppy, I have a very close friend here at the WSU Veterinary Hospital and he was just talking about a recent blood disorder problem with the Drathaar breed that is not uncommon in their breed, I guess their monitoring the line very closely, not trying to scare you but the problem is fatal!  There a great dog!

Just thought I would throw that in as it seems we also have some dog lovers in the Forum.... [;)]

Larry,

Thanks for the heads-up. We're getting him from Michael Schell in SW IL. Have heard excellent things about his dogs & the ones I have seen are fine animals.

My friend who turned me on to him has a picture of his pup & the rest of the litter pointing a pheasant wing at 3 weeks. Pretty cool.

Also, once the wifey saw my buddy's pup, she was in love. No question as to whehter or not we were going to get one.
