When I got the Bradley a few years back there was a recipe for smoking eggs on the website.
I was going to do some today, and I can't find the recipe online.
Can someone tell me how to smoke these?  Is it cold smoke?  How long?  What is the preferred smoke?
Thanks, Seemore  :)

P.S.  I am sending the wife out in the -3 degree weather to get the smoker ready,,,,,,,,,,,,,  ;)

I have always lightly rubbed with olive oil and heavily coated with rub them put them in to smoke with whatever I was smoking at the time. for about an hour or until they started to turn color. Hickory is always a good flavor choice.
Must say that is mighty nice of you sending Momma out to tend to the smoker in this weather. -6 here -30 with the wind chill. My Bradley is chugging away in the garage as well. Doing some VCB.

Thanks to both of you for the advice.  I have a recipe for pickled eggs and jalapenos, and I wanted to smoke the eggs and jalapenos before pickling them.
I will let you know how they turn out!

Thanks again,

Seemore

I peel the eggs, wipe with oil and roll in a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. But you can use any seasonings you like. About an hour smoke is all it takes.

There are quite a few threads on smoking eggs. I ususally cold smoke them for 1:00 - 1:40 hours, some will brine their eggs first.

I'm glad to see there is someone other than myself that likes pickled eggs. Here is a link to my favorite pickled egg recipe, but the jalapenos does sound like a nice twist. Smoked pickled eggs turn out alright, also the smoke flavor diffuses into the vinegar, so that is great for adding a little to chicken or egg salad.

Thanks to you two!
Habs, I thought I had a new idea going on here, but I see that you are - as usual - one or two steps ahead of me.  ;)
Instead of the pickled egg recipe we were going to use, I think we will try your recipe, though, but smoke our jalapenos along with the eggs.  I will let you know how it turns out.

When I was younger all the bars used to have a jar on the counter, and you could purchase a pickled egg while you were drinking.

I like mine on the sour side, but if you like them a little sweeter use cider vinegar, and more sugar. I use to go to a site that had nothing but pickled egg recipes, and now I can't find it. If I find it I will post it.
