I have been trying to post pictures all week and I finally made it today using photobucket. But can someone tell me how to post pictures right on the thread without using photobucket, as it is simpler for everyone to just have the pictures open up.Thks Piker

Piker,  Continue to use photobucket but use the insert image button on the posting page when posting.  In the forum pages click as if you were going to post a message.  Right above the box where you type your post in, there is a row of smileys.  Right above that is a row of buttons.  The second button from the left (sorta looks like a framed picture only very small), you hit that and you notice (img][/img) show up in the posting box.  Now you go up to file and open a new window, then go to photobucket and go to the photo you want to insert.  Roll your cursor over the photo and a small window opens directly below the photo.  Put your cursor on the dialogue box to the right of the words "Direct Link".  The box should have an address that starts with http/.  Left click in the box to select the address and then right click and then left (or right) click on "copy".  Go back to the window you are posting in, and find the (img][/img) again. left click between the ][ in the middle.  Then right click and click on paste.  The photobucket address for the photo should now be inserted between (img][/img).  Then when somebody opens up your post, it will automatically go get the photo and load it into your post.

Another hint...

You can adjust the size of your picture by adding a height and/or width parameter to the "Insert image" command.  That way, if your Photobucket pics are too large or different sizes, you can standardize them to fit your post.  I generally use just the width command (try width=200 for starters) and the height adjusts automatically.  The insert in your post or reply should look something like one of the following:

{img width=200}http://somesite/image.gif{/img}

{img width=150 height=150}http://somesite/image.gif{/img}

(I changed the [] marks to {} to avoid confusing the program into looking for a real photo).
