Smoked Spam

Yeah thats right, going to smoke some spam and roast beef from the can. Going to hit em with hickory @225* I kinda have a feeling the RB might crumble and fall apart :o

Oh boy Nepa's! This I have to see. A friend of mine is crazy about Spam, we even had to take a bike ride down to Austin, Minnesota to see the Spam museum, which is only about 2.5 hrs away!! :D You wouldn't believe how many different kinds of Spam there is. It was actually kind of interesting.

Don't know what it is about Spam, but I don't care what you do with it, it still tastes like Spam. I actually like the stuff, so that doesn't matter to me - but disappointing to others. A few years ago, I smoked some, and although ok, I like it grilled crispy better. I did some as a joke a year or so ago, and marinated it in some Tequila and lime juice, then slathered some barbecue sauce to which I had added some pineapple juice. It wasn't my cup of tea, but some of the young'ns at the shop inhaled it!.

I do admit to one late night spam smoke when some friends could not wait for some wings to defrost. Sliced it, smoked it, crisped it up real quick in the Big Easy, Sauced it up and back into the Big Easy to set the sauce. It did the job! I would not have fessed up to spam smoking, but what the hey!

Nepa's you gotta hit it with some rub first. Just like Bologna hit it with some rub and smoke. Then slice and Enjoy.

Rubbed the spam with some famous daves rib rub. The spam came out pretty good and crispy, the roast beef was flaky but still ok.

Dang Nepas, you'll be doing Raman noodles in there soon! ;D But truth be known, I still love a good spam sandwich, looks great!

A big slice of home made bread toasted
topped with fried spam
an over easy egg
salsa
shredded smoked cheddar
and a bloody mary!
with a tee time of 7:30 A.M.
and a cooler full of frosty ones.....

now i ask you.....does it get any better? 8)

I tried golf once. The greenskeeper happened to be at the 6th hole and suggested I get some lessons from a pro before I destroy anymore turf. That was the end of my golfing! ;D

Ok i will confess

I love Spam, Fried, plain, bbq, i will eat it right outa the can.

That was a secret i thought i would keep to the end.
