Get ready for this everyone! I agree with Oldman. We accomplished what we intended to do and that was to get rid of a rotten egg and get the forum back to a civil, social gathering. I had much more rather see a new recipe or the results of an experiment than to get involved in a battle with some AH that I really don't even know. I will say, however, I am not looking forward to being promoted to an "average member" but it is what it is and everything is fine right now so let's "stir the fudge" (I like that one Olds).

Supper tonight is that Chuck Roast that I have been trying to figure out what to do with for over a month. Used Habenero's Beef Rub and it is in the FTC mode right now waiting for my love to get home.

I want to make sure I avoid a similar fate. You know, good fences make for good neighbors and all...

No sense in going over old news. However, to answer your question this forum is about food smokin' and having fun. Once you get to know us you will see we do a lot joking with each other.

When a member has a personal agenda, and continues to post that agenda on almost every thread after awhile members get tired of it. At first we ask nicely to stop. If it does not then the members get together and ask Admin or support Admin in the removal of the offending member.

I've been a member here since March 04, and I have not seen before or since johnintx1 this type of action.

Thanks for clearing that up. I am not the confrontational type.
I have no agenda other than learning how to use this thing and improving my cooking skills. Looks like this place is going to be fun and informative. (god, that sounds nerdy)

Welcome to the Forum, David! Don't worry about being PC around here--we just like to talk smokin' and have some fun with each other. Forum members have lots of different opinions on smokin' foods, politics, religion, personal lifestyles, etc. We just stick to smokin' and keep the other stuff to a real minimum. Glad to have you aboard! [:D]

Great to see such an open and generous group. I have laughed out loud so many times reading the banter on this forum that my wife keeps asking what's up.

Your right Chez, this place is a goldmine. Since my smoker hasn't arrived yet I just keep staring at the empty space she's going to occupy on my patio. Why do I have BBQ tongs in my hand?

I swear I can already smell the smoke...
