Been kicking this idea around for a wile and finely got it done. Started with a bathroom fart sucker and built a hood to match. First did a cardboard template.

Then took some duct work I had laying around and laid out the cuts and bends.

Then started the fun part of cutting out the pieces.

Then did the bends.

Pieced it together and riveted it all together, believe it or not it came out square, had to notch out for the exhaust duct.

Stay tuned, I'm out of space to finish this, I'll be right back.

Ok. Did a test fit to see where to cut the whole.

Got the whole cut and the hood installed.

All together it took me around 8 hr to build and install, It cost me $15 for the fart sucker $3 for the 3" to 4" reducer and $ 9 for the ceiling fan speed switch the rest of the stuff I had laying around. Did some sausage, a brisket, a butt and a couple turkeys with it already and found the sweet spot for the speed of the fan, with the doors shut in the shed I have to turn the speed up a bit but have never needed to set it to high speed yet. The out side is a dryer vent exhaust that is aluminum, not that plastic crap. Still working on the bench, got it installed and mounted to the wall, made the top and after I painted it I read on the paint can that it needs 30 days to fully cure, so thats what I'm waiting on. This is going to be the Bradley's home from now on. Will get some picts some time in late Dec when the project is finished.

Looks great OU. Nice job on the fabrication of it.

Slick! I'm sure glad I didn't have to bend all that metal. You can bet money it wouldn't have been square!
The fight isn't over until the winner says it is.

You must have a metal break? Very nice job OU.

Nope, no break, just a couple 2" x 4" a couple C clamps and some elbow grease.

Quarlow

Wow, I bow to the master, I have done some hand bending and you have to be right on for it to come out nice.

Wow OU!

If I tried that it would look like a huge ball of wadded up aluminum foil!

I really hate it when my wife is looking at these posts! She says put one of those in our SUV! I have no idea why. I wish I had that talent to put one in the garage for foul weather.

I'm standing and applauding a fine job.

ArnieM

That's a beautiful job OU.  I couldn't do that even with a sheet metal brake.

I'd like to ask you a personal question.  Of course you don't have to answer.  What do you do for a living?  Please don't say 'Accountant'  ;D ;D
