Geez! I feel like Chester on "Gunsmoke".
"Gunsmoke". Theres a blast from the past. But I think his name was "Festus" was it not. That's a long time ago so its hard to remember.

I think Festus was from the adams family. Uncle Festus.

Glad to hear you're coming along nicely June.  Listen to the doc.  You start moving around much too soon and you'll probably take even longer to heal.  Patience.  :)

Ya listen to the doc.

I shattered my wrist in a motorcycle accident and had to were a cast from the tip of my fingers to the elbow. The next week I was rinding my bike again, took a spill and sucked up the pain then the week after that I couldnt take it any more. Went to the doc and boy was he mad, I totally messed up everything he did. This time when he reset everything it REALLY HURT. I ended up wearing the cast for 10 more weeks. Wont do that again.

Enjoy your time off, I know this sittin around crap is drivin you crazy, it does me

I had to chuckle with the names Festus, Fester.....it reminded me of Festivus, that mythical holiday from Seinfeld..... :)

Glad to hear it's healing well MrsS...
You take your time and stay OFF it until it heals.

Otherwise, you might end up walkin' like FESTUS, who did have the limp, and ironically, often used the term "measley-footed mule"  ;D

...But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

UIS, I am doing JUST FINE.  I feel bad for Scott.  He works all day, then has to fix dinner, do dishes, yada, yada, yada.....
We have Cook'n on our computer, so I have been putting in all of these recipes that we have gathered over the years.  We have a LOT of recipes!
Tasha still does not understand why I can't play with her like I did before I fell.  She is very protective now, too, in that she barks at the slightest noise.
I am looking forward to when I can start using both feet again.  I had a dream last night that I was walking all over town on both feet, saying "It does not hurt at all...."  I woke up wondering if I had been walking..... ::)
I do know that I will be investing in a pair of cleats, and that I will wear them whenever the ground looks the least bit slick.....
Thanks for the concern!  Believe me when I say that I am doing well.  Seemore is the one I am worried about.

Hi June,

Glad you're recovering nicely.  Stop walking all around town  ;D

You might want to take a look at these YakTrax.  My wife and I both mount them on a spare (old) pair of shoes so we can slip 'em on when things are a bit icy.  They work very well.

Note, don't ever wear them on a tile floor.  It's like ice skating!

You gotta watch those yada yada yadas, they have a tendancy to hold some good secrets.
