Hi all, this is my first post. After a little horse trading, I am now the owner of a digital Bradley smoker. The people I got it from only tried it twice and they smokked salmon in it. I washed the V plate at the bottom as well as the bowl and drip pan. I  also wiped the inside with a damp cloth and it still smells like fish on the inside. How can I get rid of the smell? I was thinkiing of heating it up and running a couple of pucks thru it. They had lost the owners manual, is there one available online? I am looking forward to using it to cook ribs and brisket. I have been looking at recipes like crazy and need to try something fool proof first.

I've done plenty of salmon in mine and do not have a fish smell. I would wash the racks, V pan bowl and bottom tray. Then put everything back in and heat up to 250 or so and run a few pucks through. Let it at 250 for a couple hours, make sure to open the vent. Maybe it was not properly seasoned? Not sure why it would smell.

Did they dig that Bradley out of the ocean?

They tried it twice, wasn't their thing I guess. I found the manual online. I guess I will try to season it again. It wasn't washed out after the last use. I may leave the door open for awhile.

Do yourself a Boston Butt cook. After 4 hours of smoke and all that good pork flavoring drifting around in there. Won't be any Salmon smell in there.

Be careful about calling yourself and EXPERT! An ex is a has-been, and a spurt is a drip under pressure!

I was hoping it would be that easy. I can't see it lasting being as it is stainless steel. I am going to run some pucks thru it and cook up some ribs.

If anyone's Bradleys should smell fishy, mine should be first in line....they don't. Smoke covers a multitude of smelly sins...I think 10.5's advice is gonna give you the olfactory omega you're after!

No worries now. I ran 4 pucks of Crown Royal thru it set at 210 degrees and now it smells more like smoke on the inside. In case you are wondering what I traded it for, well it was my daughter's prom dress. A friends daughter seen it and loved so we gave it to her and they said do you want a Bradley smoker for it? I said sure expecting an original and when I picked it up it was a Digital.  :o ;D
