Thanks for the link CRG.  I sent that to MIL's cousin's husband.  (they were in Mexico with us)  He's quite a camp cook, and an American History buff.

OU and anyone else interested,

I have been doing some investigating and believe I can send a vac pak of liquid starter.

Will probably wrap in bubble wrap for temp protection and send it priority mail.

Also I am trying to reduce my starter to a solid and the reviving it to see if that also works.

Sounds good to me, can hardly wait for some good bread with lots of butter.

I think I posted that I accidentally killed my 1847 started.

I had enough to make some more and I started it 3 days ago and am taking a pictorial

of it as it grows.

I will post it when it has reach the "Fridge" state.
