Father's Day ATV Ride and Picnic

We had a great Father's Day that I wanted to share with everyone.

Our friends have a fleet of ATVs and invite us along with two other families on a 24 mile ATV ride and picnic.

We had a cook out over a fire with brats, water melon and then smores.

The kids caught frogs and had a great time. And no, we didn't cook them ;)

It was my first time riding an ATV...I think I'm hooked :)

I have four wheelers and I love to ride them, butt don't think I could go 25 miles!

I love it! My Mom lived in L.A. (lower Alabama) many years ago and had 190 acres of wooded land and miles and miles of trails. Riding day or night and inventing games as you go! It doesn't get much better then that with family and friends. It was nothing but smiles and a good time for all. I'm glad it was fun to your too!

I was actually a little scared at the beginning of the ride.
We took forestry roads into the mountains and the we started to take some jeep trails that had a lot of erosion running down the middle of them.
That took me a little while to get used to but I got the hang of it.

It looks like a lot of fun, and you all looked like you had a good time. I don't own one, but have wanted one ever since they came out.

I would love one, too. My hubby goes elk hunting with these folks and has lots of fun tootling around the mountains on atvs with them.

Heck, those things look big enough to mount a Traeger Jr on the back!

I should have brought mine!
They told us we didn't need to bring anything but I wish I brought some of my homemade sausage.

You have to respect the machine and the terrain.

Had 3 boys grow up riding ATV's and had two sets of broken collar bones.

It is fun, but can be dangerous IF you are not careful.
