Hi all,
   Two months ago we relocated to Pusan, Korea.  We live on the economy with some military base support (nearest commissary is a 90 minute round trip).  We are finally in our quarters and have invited 40-50 co-workers and friends to a house-warming open house.  Now we need to feed those people and score some points.

Limitations are:
Must be able to prepare in advance
Must be able to use limited ingredients (sorry, to define them all would take too long)
All meats will start out frozen
No grilling
The oven is 1/4 the size of US ovens, stove is 5 burner gas, small family sized refridgeration

Looking for:
Dips, roll-ups, etc...think Dinner Impossible from the Food Network!
Thanks in advance!

Wow, from a trip to Memphis to Korea.  Now that's a big culture change.  hunka, hunka burning luv and fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches to Kimchi

Many things come to my mind, but some more info is needed.  What types of meat do you have available (chicken, pork, beef, ground beef, sausage?).  What about cheeses and bacon?  Did you get a smoker yet?

No smoker until we return to the US.  We're on the 11th floor of an apartment building, hence no grilling or smoking.  Most meats as in US are available but no specialty cuts.  Chicken, chicken breast, pork chops, bacon, ground beef, ground turkey, all of it frozen.  Fresh produce but limited to the basics.

The one plus is unlimited pee-in-your-pants wickedly hot Korean peppers.  They're too thin to stuff (about the diamter of a nickel and the fattest part) and about 4" long.

How about using the Atomic Buffalo Turd idea and adapt it to a little Asian influence.
Use some cream cheese, bacon, sausage or ground beef, some seasoning, the peppers you have with the seeds and ribs removed, chopped, blended and stuffed into a pre-baked wonton.

Hi zzzippper;

Pusan is a nice area. You lucked out on your assignment. :) Although most areas of Korea is nice this time of year.

For one style of appitizer do a search for cresent pinwheels. There is an endless choice of what filling you can use. Once you see how they are made, it is easy to creat your own fillings. They take about 10 - 12 minutes to bake, and most can be served at room temperature.
