I am horrible at making candy, the only thing I have ever made successfully was penuche.
And that was only one batch :D

Ok, you want smoke -

I was making a few extra pieces of candy and making gravy for dinner (no I didn't make gravy truffles).  I was finished with the milk chocolate, had extra, and I had these nicely cooked pieces of bacon (for the roux) so -



If you've never had chocolate covered bacon you are missing a treat,  The salt and sweet combination is hard to beat.
