Jan and I want to wish each of you and your family the Merriest of Christmases.

I haven't been around much in the last week or so as I have been serving on Grand Jury where they convened a special session to look at 2 different murder cases, including the abuse murder of a 2 year old boy.  The second case involved the murder of a 21 year old girl by her best friend, friend's mother and father in a very gruesome manner.  I am happy to tell you we indicted all 4 suspects.

Then to cap off a perfect week, I had to ask a family that I am very fond of to give their house back to the Bank yesterday.

Last night we sat by the fire, ate crawfish and corn chowder and reflected on how very fortunate we are.  Today, I will roast a 6 pound Snake River Farms Wagyu beef tenderloin in the MAK and boil some shrimp.  I have taken next week off from work as I am emotionally drained from this week's goings on.

Merry Christmas to you! That's a perfect amount of snow for xmas morning. We are looking at a wet snowless xmas here on the south end of Vancouver island.
Here is a snow report from our mid island ski resort tho--guess I'll be going up after xmas.

We just broke our record for the most snow in a four-day period...we've seen 2.5 metres of snowfall since Monday...yes, 250 centimetres of new snow!! We've literally been inundated with snowfall and delays are expected with all lifts and terrain openings this morning.  We will try our best to keep you up to date on todays operations, but we're all busy digging out the resort!
