Now thats a pastrami sammie!  How long was the wait?

20 minutes or so?   They do a good job of moving people in/out..

I was so full, I had a salad for dinner last night.

When I saw this, I ask my wifey and daughter about their recent (last week)

trip to NY and if they passed by Katz's. They had actually rented an apartment

for the week just down the street from Katz's above a Vegetarian Deli (YUCK!).

They said they ate there at Katz's the last nite and the food was GREAT!

I was probably near there yesterday, but still hurting from the Katz's lunch...    And the crowds in Manhattan were insane.    I like it better out here in the Brooklyn 'Burbs..

Fortunately, I've been walking all over creation.   And the place we are renting is 1 room wide, 2 rooms deep, and 4 stories high.   LOTS of climbing..     It's helped make a dent in the MEAT MEAT MEAT overload I've been on.

Dang Pat, you are also very close to one my old favorite water holes - McSorley's.

A few years ago some friends from New York visited for a week with us and we took them to Izzy's-http://www.izzys.com/- here in the Cincinnati area and Shapiro's Deli -http://www.shapiros.com/ in Indianapolis, IN.

So when my wife and I were visiting them in New York they took us to Katz's Deli and then up to McSorley's.

Looks like a lot of fun!

We used to go to McSorley's for a beer or three (and crackers, cheese, & onions) after fraternity meetings back in the mid-60s.  After a few, we'd think we were somebody and go uptown to the original Friday's or down to the Red Garter in the Village (where I worked so the price was right) to try and pick up chicks.  Success was intermittent at best but the memories were always great.  Actually we never remembered much but we made up good stories.
