I just got back from the store and I couldn't believe the price of Baby Backs. $6.49 a pound!!!!! It was $21 for ONE rack. It's cheaper to go out to eat than cook at home. Un-Friggin-Real!!! Did I buy them anyway??? Yes I did. They better be good or I might have to resort to cooking only chicken. Ribs have always been the cheapest thing to cook and now their the most expensive. What's the deal?

Yep, same here.

A 3 pack of BBRs from Sam's Club is around $3.50-$4.00 a pound - give or take.

But, the individual slabs from the corner grocery store are $$$.

Same here!  I buy only when they go 2x1 or at the large depos (BJS COSTCO SAMS) and freeze them.  Hope this helps

They go for $3.99 to $4.99/lb around here but when they go on sale ther around $2.99/lb

Not long ago they went on sale for $1.99/lb,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I bought 24 full racks.  ::)

Watch for them to go on sale and stock up.  ;D

Bigbirdoffroad

Yeah, I can get them for $4.49 a lb if I drive into the city and hit the meat market. I guess I should get a BJ's membership. Theres one on my way home from work.

They usually go for around $4.99/Lb here.  Found some on sale a couple of weeks ago, $2.49/Lb, individually cryo-vaced.  Cooked up a few racks and stuffed the freezer with a bunch more.

I hate you Sam....LOL Just kidding, I'm jealous. Either way, the ribs turned out great with the 3-2-1. Sorry, no pics.

Pork at the grocery is like crude oil.  It's priced in U.S. Dollars.
America voted for skyrocketing prices, and voila!
Predicted/Promised/Delivered.
What's the problem?

Like others have mentioned.  Sam's Club or Costco is the ticket.  WELL worth the membership AND you can get your spices in bulk for the rubs, er and beer too!   ;D
