No vent. I remember looking at this picture: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/sm-masterbuilt-electric-smoker-with-digital-thermostat--pi-2097516.html and thinking it was vented. If you look at the inside shot, it looks like there is a fan or something on the upper right side. It's a shame they don't just post the product on their website or respond to emails. I wonder of that fan blows from the top and then it's vented on the bottom right of the unit. That's what it looks like to me.

Ya ever use a Brinkman water smoker? Yeeccchhhh![xx(] Ash tastes like burnt dirt & I've never seen dirt as an ingredient in any dry rub recipe.

Extinguishing the wood before it releases it's carcinogens is a good thing, that's why we should eat more Bradley-Q. At least that's what I tell my wife & doctor![;)][:D]

Ya think next time I check into a hotel & they ask "Smoking or Non?" they would mind?

Hey most of you know I own my business. I survived the big 3 who are now out of this type of service work.  I can say that without a doubt that if a company will not reply to E-mails before the purchase, and someone goes out and buys it anyway, should something go wrong then that person has only themselves to blame for having an over large door stop.

I dumped it after a while, didn't feel I could even give it away, let alone sell it as "nearly new"! Ah well, you live and learn!!
