Discovered a couple new smoke houses in the Vancouver area. Thought I would share.

Burgers etc. (Burnaby)  http://www.burgers-etc.com/
Tried this place for lunch a couple times.  Not to shabby (not as good as mine, but than again, what restaurant is?).

Wilbur & Sabastian's smokehouse & bistro (PoCo)   http://www.wsbistro.ca/
Haven't tried this place yet but they have some very good reviews.

Let us know if you've found any other good places to eat.

Cheers

Hey Jiggerjams is down with trying out Wilburs and Sebastiens. So hopefully our schedules work out for his visit to PoCo.

Looks good, Sticky. i'm going backwards in my neighborhood--my favourite restaurant has closed down out here west of victoria. Smoken Bones Cookshack shut down here but they are moving to downtown Victoria--but they are definately worth the commute.

Good times and good food.  Collin, it was great to see you again and to meet the missus.   Let's do that again sometime.
Jigger, It was a pleasure and I thank you very much for the rub.  Can't wait to try it.  Make sure you PM me with that wing recipe.
Cheers!!!

So we got together for dinner at Wilbur & Sabastians (W&S Smokehouse and Bistro) as their sign reads. Nice little place although I hear it is bigger than their previous location. Good food run by a very friendly lady. She is a Bradley owner although she uses a COOKSHACK in the resturant. Amazing that this thing runs on a 4 oz. chunk of wood for 4 to 6 hrs. She has gone threw 4 elements in 2 months. Hmmm. Anyway she is still trying to dial in the smoking.
She tried Mesquite and found it too strong but maple is not giving her the amount of flavour she wants. She will get it right.  The food was very well prepared and very tasty but it did need more smoke for sure. Awesome Sweet onion Bourbon sauce but go for the heavier saucing. I went with the lightly sauced and wanted more. Corn bread was excellent and the Farmer sausage was very good too. Jiggerjams (James) sprung for the sausage and a plate of very yummy Prawns which we all shared for appies. Thanks James. James is a hell of a nice guy, glad we got to meet him. Overall the resturant was great and will be even better when they get their Liquor licsense. Doh.  We all had nothing but good to say about their meals even my wife (Wombat) who is a burgeraholic. Theirs must be great as they were all out of burgers.
Good to see you again StickyDan and meeting your wife.

Sounds like a grand time.  Been wanting to get up that way in a bad way.  Have been talking to a guy about all the figs growing in Canuckland.  Then he went on about all the salmon he's been catching, how great the runs were, the big sturgeon he had caught, and all the razors and amorous NW oysters he had eaten!  Danged, we can't do any of that here in Middle TN!

LOL, had my phone in my pocket the whole time and never even once thought to take a picture.  Than again, I always have it with me and never think to take pictures.....
Let me know if you ever make it out this way Caney.  I highly enjoy taking tourists around this beautiful area that I'm fortunate enough to call home.
