This time its the element.  Was wondering how hard it is to replace it?  If I bought a more powerful element, would I HAVE to buy a PID??
I thought I had something intersting to put here but then I thought again

I replaced mine(and I'm a girl :D) so it's not difficult at all.  Just be careful of the ceramic thingys, just don't over tighten.   And  2nd question someone will be along that has more knowledge on that.

If you do the dual-element or 900w element mod you will need a PID...
Natural Gas 4 burner stainless RED with auto-clean
2 TBEs(1 natural gas & 1 LP gas)
OBS(Auberins dual probe PID, 900w finned element & convection fan mods)
2011 Memphis Select Pellet Smoker
BBQ Grillware vertical smoker(oven thermostat installed & converted to natural gas)

Its funny or weird.  We all replace parts early on.  I have had my OBS over two years now with heavy use.  Very early it was a door and face plate then the element.  Ever since no problems at all.  Not sure why, but I still love my OBS (as do my neighbors).

Alright if a girl can do it   :)..   I guess I will go with the regular element cuz I dont want to buy a PID.  I am either too poor or cheap to do that..
DT,  Our smokers have fallen apart in the exact same order..  I call Shenanigans on Bradley..  And yes I googled Shenanigans so it would be "spelt" right

Thanks guys   and "girl"
