How much water did you use in the formula?

Watchdog,

I used 8 oz of water to mix cure #1 in, then mixed liquid into meat.

I see you have powdered dextrose and corn syrup solids in the formula. Can I use Karo light corn syrup?

I know you can, I've seen this question before.  But one of the more "sausage mature" members will have to pipe in with the ratio. Corn syrup solids do sweeten but also help hold water and binds meat together, powdered dextrose is sweeter than corn syrup solids but not as sweet as regular sugar and is mainly used in semi-dry and dry cured sausages. Anyone?, please help.
