I have looked the net over and I know that pups normally do not happened until a pineapple is cut from the stalk.  What gets me is after 15 years of this gene is to see what looks like secondary fruit.  This is unknown to happen. Let alone happen when the 1st fruit is still on the stalk. I  have had pups before the fruit was cut before, but not to this level.  Interesting to say the least. In a few more weeks I will know if these are secondary or not.  If they are I can only wonder..... If you know how indeterminate tomatoes came about then I'm sure you understand why I'm wondering...

If these 3 pups fruit do you understand I have been graced.  Not sure I want them to.  If they should fruit the world will make my life very noisy. I have already set up extra security measures to protect this un-explain event.

Yeah, (he said, wringing his hands) but think of all the smokers you can get with the monies derived from the ag folk!

Heck, you can probably keep Kirk going as a primary customer!

 Hope you kept meticulous records!

I make my own "soiless" soil and my own blend (mixture) of organic fertilizers.

I have often thought that as a hobby to grow pineapples for their pups; then selling organically grow 6 month old plants.

In my current containers I can handle maybe 18 new pups. That leaves 69 pups I got to make growth containers for. If I do that then I got to consider how to protect them from that once every 5 year 3 day freeze we get.  It would be insane if the next patch of plants all pupped out as many as these have. Heh he he I could become the Florida connection for pineapples LOL~~!

LOL! The truth is if you feed the plants well they pup-out for you.  What has caught my eye is the ones that have the coloring of the pineapple itself.  And you are correct if these do fruit twice...I will remember my friends when I'm rich! LOL! Bradley SS smokers for all!!!!  Plus 10 years of pucks!! [:D]

It's only getting crazier now. They are secondary pineapples for sure. One plant has a total of 3 pineapples.  Next I found a plant where I had pick the fruit this past December. Normally if you leave the plant you get pups. What I got looks like two new plants (not pups) coming from the same root system.  Stange indeed~~~!

Correction. The pineapple shown in the picture has 4 secondary fruits on it. I just looked at the back side of it...... Unbelieveable.
