Went onto yard and pool to order up some frog Matts, am I looking at the right ones? When I searched there site it looks like they are 35$ a piece? Or is this for a set? Maybe I was just a little sticker shocked...

Those are for the big smokers/pellet poopers.

The Bradley ones are around 8 bucks a piece...  (and worth every penny)

Well guess I need to break down and get some. I need 12 and that's quite a bit for how much i would use them I think. Thinking about buying some cheaper ones I seen advertised cant take as much heat but i never go over 225 any way. Just hate to do it when I hear all the comments on here.

You can order the largest size and cut to fit, but they are all about the same $ per square inch..

Trust me, you won't be disappointed.  I have enough of these things to cover most of my picnic table. ;)

Just checking out the Bradley coated jerky racks. It has very good reviews almost 100 % they are 29.00 for 4 were as a pack of four mats are 32.00 and the mat needs a rack to work. So dont know.

thanks squirt the cat that's a lot better. I have always used cabalas oven jerky racks for the past 5 years and been very pleased with my own marinade. but I am going to do one batch in the Bradley and see how much better it is. either way i will use the frog mats for other things too...

They may have changed the way they manufacture the jerky racks. In the past the Teflon coating would start to wear off after a couple of uses.

I recently bought two 4-packs of the Bradley non-stick teflon coated jerkey racks. After the first smoke(Salmon), even using Peel-Ease, it was almost impossible to get the pieces off without tearing off the skin. The first clean-up wasn't much fun either. I dried them right away, but the next morning there was a little rust deposit where each of the wires crossed. The second use, the coating started to come off the wires. Every use there's more coating coming off. They're about half way stripped down to bare metal after 12 uses-maybe.  My standard issue racks are easier to clean too. I'm not impressed. They're now made in China. I don't know if they're different now than they were before. I give these a customer rating of "1".

I too have the Bradley non-stick jerky racks.  I now have Frogmats for them. ;)  Does that tell you anything?

Yes I had heard many negative reply's before. But these are suppose to be made by a different company and seem to be holding up real  well. Haven't seen any negativity on people using them now. The only real complaint I seen was the holes wasn't small enough. But was fine for jerky and that. So I'm thinking maybe trying a couple to check them out. Sure not going to replace all 12 of my racks with out knowing. 96.00 with out shipping seems a lot for just silicon. Im sure there the best route but I can't always afford the best. LOL

If you decide to get them, keep us updated on their performance. A lot of stuff Cabelas carries is made in China too.

I purchased these round pizza racks at Costco Business for about $3 each and bent the side to fit the Bradley and make a basket for smoking nuts.  They might not work as well as Frog Mats but they work great for smoking nuts.
