Hello all.  I just received the original Bradley smoker as a late Christmas gift, and I cant wait to get into it.  I did the seasoning today and cant wait to get to smoking.  I have been reading on this forum all day today and have picked up some great info.  I am sure I will be asking lots of questions in the beginning and just want to say thanks in advance for all the help and advice.

Welcome Tball. Nice Christmas present.
Give a man a beer and he'll waste a day.
Teach him how to brew and he'll waste a lifetime.

Thanks for the welcome guys.  Hal i am up in the mountains of the northeast corner of washington state.  Looking to do my first round with the OBS this weekend, anybody got any suggestions for a first smoke.
I will post pics when i remember.  Its gonna be a good weekend of smoking and brewing a couple batches of beer.

Hi Tball.  I'd try a pork butt for your first smoke.  You can't hardly screw one up.

Welcome Tball!  Pork butt is a good first smoke but it is also a very long smoke/cook.  You might want to consider chicken breasts just to get started.  Take a look at this recipe.  http://www.susanminor.org/forums/showthread.php?43-Smoked-Bacon-Wrapped-Chicken-Breast-1

Here is the website for the Bradley recipe website. www.susanminor.org  Don't bother to register and sign it.  It is no longer required.
